Open Positions

MOF/COF Catalysis Postdoctoral Researcher

A postdoctoral position is available at our lab for research on MOF/COF catalysis. The project will focus on experimental work in the area of MOF/COF electro- and photoelectrocatalysis. In particular, the postdoc will aim to achieve control over the catalytic performance of MOF/COF catalysts immobilized on polymer electrodes and understand the fundamental catalytic processes for key energy-related chemical transformations, including CO2 reduction, water splitting, O2/N2 reduction. The work will require the synthesis of MOF/COF materials and organometallic molecular catalysts, morphological and electrochemical characterizations of catalysts, and development of operando capabilities at our lab. The appointment is for 2 years with possible extensions based on research productivity and funding source.

The candidate should have a PhD degree in chemistry, material science or chemical engineering, and possess previous experience in catalysis and ability in catalyst synthesis (e.g. MOF/COF materials, molecular catalysts or single-atom catalysts). The applicant should have good team skills and be able to manage several projects at the same time. For application, please email your CV with a brief statement of your research interests to bingshan@zju.edu.cn.

Polymer Photoelectrodes Postdoctoral Researcher

A postdoctoral position is available at our lab for research on polymer photoelectrodes. The project will focus on polymer-based photoelectrodes for catalytic CO2 reduction, water splitting and O2/N2 reduction. The work will include synthesis of conductive hydrogel electrodes, post-functionalization of hydrogels and in-situ integration of catalyst materials. Detailed electrochemical, photochemical and photophysical characterizations of the photoelectrodes are also needed. The appointment is for 2 years with possible extensions based on research productivity and funding source.

The candidate should have a PhD degree in chemistry, material science or chemical engineering, and possess previous experience in polymer photoelectrodes or hydrogel materials. The applicant should have good team skills and be able to manage several projects at the same time. For application, please email your CV with a brief statement of your research interests to bingshan@zju.edu.cn.
