Bing Shan started her photocatalysis research in Ph.D. study with Prof. Russell Schmehl at Tulane University from 2010. After getting her Ph.D. degree in 2015, she worked as a postdoc with Prof. Thomas J. Meyer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her postdoctoral research focused on dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cells. During that time, she was also a research fellow in the Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC). In 2020, she joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University, and established the Molecular Photoelectrocatalysis Lab. Dr Shan’s current research is on the intersection of molecular photochemistry, catalysis and polymer science, with emphasis on polymer-based photoelectrochemical devices.
